Commencement season is upon us! We are asking your support in sharing important dates with your students, possibly by posting the attached images in your Canvas course with the following information, and/or saving for counseling appointments or other student interactions:
Dear students,
For those of you expecting to graduate in spring or summer – congratulations! Please keep these important dates in mind:
· Monday, March 3rd – Student Commencement Speaker Applications Due
· Friday, March 21st – Deadline to submit Graduation Petitions for those graduating in spring 2025, or graduating in summer 2025 who want to participate in the May Commencement ceremony.
o Visit the A&R Graduation Petition website for forms and deadlines.
· Friday, April 25th – Gradapalooza – 1pm-5pm – Falcon Square & various locations
o Gradapalooza is a combination of grad fair and graduation celebrations for various student support programs on campus. Come to celebrate the start of graduation season, pick up guest tickets (up to 8 per grad) and honor cords (for those eligible), take graduation portraits with Grad Images, decorate their grad caps, enjoy refreshments, and participate in individual graduation celebration ceremonies from student support programs. If grads are unable to attend, guest tickets and honor cords can be picked up from the Student Life & Leadership Office in the Auto Partners Building starting April 28th. Guest tickets must be picked up by May 16th. More information available online.
· Friday, May 23rd – 2025 Commencement Ceremony – 6pm – Falcon Stadium
