Mission
Our mission is to educate and organize the student body to democratically bring about change not only at Cerritos College but also hopefully in our communities as well. Our goal is to play a helpful and principled role in the movement for social justice. Within and throughout this struggle, we will articulate and defend the idea that true human liberation is impossible under capitalism. Neither reform nor regulation will ever be able to fix the fundamental inherent problems of capitalism. The system of capitalism must be abolished and replaced with a new system, socialism, for the sake of not just the U.S. but the human race as a whole. We seek social change which extends democracy into all aspects of life -- social, political, and economic. This is the struggle for democratic socialism. Our vision of socialism is profoundly democratic, feminist, and anti-racist. We plan to do our part to achieve this vision through hosting public community events that engage with the student body both on and off the Cerrito

Membership Benefits
Students will meet new people, develop public speaking and advocacy skills, learn more about political system, economic system, and find out what is really causing so many of the issues our world faces today. Students will also have the opportunity able to take direct action in working with others for a better world.
