Mission
"Cerritos College Engineering Technology Club CCETC provides a platform to learn and experiment on diverse technologies in 3D printing, automation electrical vehicles design and robotics and drones engineering. Our Mission is to enhance student skills and knowledge in engineering technology by improving their engineering technology abilities, leadership roles and experience with real world projects while simultaneously being able to help the community with any projects that have the potential of giving students an engineering experience. The 3D Printing Team strives to educate students, faculty and the campus community of the emerging technology of additive manufacturing and to provide an innovative and creative makers space for students to thrive and develop as innovators leaders and inventors. Along with faculty and industry professionals the club will facilitate a cooperative collaborative learning community for students by students in the industry of 3D printing design and production. The automation/robotics/drones team will be challenged to design build and program their robot or drone systems from scratch learn how to code and write commands for robots/drones. By programming and controlling robots/drones, students will step into the world of multidisciplinary engineering technology acquiring knowledge and skills that will be useful and applicable beyond the classroom and in workplace. These activities can help students develop their knowledge career advice and networking opportunities in a creative and constructive environment. The electrical vehicle design team will compete in the SAE Electric formula competition and will collaborate with automotive/autobody welding and woodworking departments and associated clubs in designing, fabrication and assembly of the SAE electric formula or similar cars for student competition. CCETC provides a platform to learn and experiment on diverse technologies in 3D printing" automation electrical vehicles design " robotics and drones engineering.
