"Women Shaping a Sustainable Future: Democracy, Culture, and Innovation."
We welcome original works that explore and celebrate the ways women across the generations inspire, educate, and shape our world. Submissions can span a wide variety of genres and mediums, including but not limited to: short fiction, poetry, original artwork, photography, musical compositions/songs, videos, dance, and essays.
Whether you're a writer, artist, musician, or content creator, your voice matters! Let's come together to honor the women who continue to inspire us all."
Submission Deadline: February 16, 2026
Echoes Launch Party: April 17, 2026

I highly recommend submitting work for consideration! I had two pieces published in Echoes last year and it looks wonderful on both a resume and applications.
The 2026 Getty Graduate Symposium
Come join us at the Getty Center for the 2026 Graduate Symposium at the Getty Center from 9:45am-6:00pm on Friday, February 6th to hear the latest graduate research from California Colleges! "The Getty Research Institute hosts the 8th annual Getty Graduate Symposium, which showcases the work of emerging scholars from art history graduate programs across California. Organized into three sessions, the symposium includes nine individual presentations, moderated panel discussions, and Q&A sessions with the audience." This is a great opportunity to learn new information and make connections in the academic side of the art world. You do not need to be an art-related major to enjoy the symposium, it is free and open to the public. If you are interested in just visiting the Getty Center, then you are more that welcome to explore the museum without attending the symposium. They have some really wonderful exhibitions going on that you can see on their website. If you would like to carpool with other club members, please reach out and we will make arrangements for you, otherwise, you can join us at the Getty Center. If you plan on attending, please make sure to reserve a (free) ticket for the symposium OR the museum. The rest of the information will be included below.
Graduate Symposium Tickets (free parking included)
Getty Center Standard Tickets (parking not included, $25 on site)
We Hope to see you there!
If disability accommodations (e.g. communications access, alternate formats) are needed to participate fully in this event, please submit your request to AccommodationsRequest@Cerritos.edu within seven school days in advance.
